Easter

Easter was the end of March this year so that means the annual Easter Hunt in Ashton will be in snow. :) This year was actually the first time that we have made it in time for the 20 second affair. We made it just in time to hear the horn go off, the girls took off through the snow and we all soon realized that the snow was melted enough to make it extremely difficult to walk through.

Fortunately Brother Hatton in our ward was there to save a bunch of the kids and helped them get their eggs, Lily included.

After picking up the eggs the kids take them to exchange them for treats and small toys provided by the different businesses in town. It was fun and I remember doing this a few times when I was younger.

Easter Sunday was pretty quiet, it was just our little family at home and we had some yummy shrimp scampi and then went to visit the Stegelmeiers for some dessert. I only got video on Easter morning, but they had a great time searching for their Easter baskets. Russell enjoyed getting into the basket grass and eating a plethora of the hard boiled eggs we made on Saturday.

I've learned that it is very difficult for me to get pictures of the three kids all together and make them look as good as I want, but here are a few candid shots of Sunday afternoon, the kids in their cute Easter outfits. Sure love these kiddos of mine!
