Mice!!!

As I am typing this I am listening to a small rodent eat cheetoh crumbs from a bag a student left on the floor after school. This is the second time that I have heard them going for leftovers. Before I left for my break, another biology teacher wrote us an email alerting us that his large python snake had escaped from it's confines and was now slithering around the school. What is up with this place? Oh well, good thing i'm not afraid of either. Apparantly while I was gone the snake was found and placed back in it's cage, but honestly!

I am done with my first week of school back and it really wasn't that bad. It has been full of warm welcomes, relief from the administration, other teachers, parents and students. I am so looking forward to this weekend I can hardly stand it. First I get to spend time with Leah all day, second I get to go down to Castle Dale and see my family, and third Whitney is doing the best thing yet in her life! It really is a good time.

I went to my ward Relief Society Christmas party and it was wonderful. I got to know some other ladies and a young girl my age who lives in the same condos as we do. She is really nice and I can us becoming good friends. I don't really have friends right now other than the faculty here at Jordan which by the way are great but it's nice to have someone my own age. We had dinner at the party and then they had a family of girls come and sing for us and do a little Christmas program. It was wonderful. This relief society really knows how to put on a nice evening. Christmas is just around the corner and I hope that I am ready.

LOL Escaping snakes? That's great, I'll have to visit Jordan high one of these days. Nothing interesting like that ever happens at Oly.
