Anne Adele, Leah and I went to Provo yesterday to see Noah and Seth. We wanted to see all of the stuff that Noah has been doing in his glass blowing class. He showed us a little demonstration and it was very interesting. It is quite the process let me tell ya and definitely H-O-T!!!
So this is one of the oven type things that he puts the glass blowing rod into to melt the glass. It was sooo hot you couldn't get very close at all.
So here he is working on his vase. It took a lot of blowing and melting and swinging to make the shape that it is. I have a video but we will be putting that on Anne Adele's blog soon.
Afterwards Leah had a lovely treat, a roasted marshmallow from the hot ovens. The marshmallow was still about a foot away and it still got nice and toasty.
Then we went to the H. Fac. building and we were able to see some of the displays of Noah's glasswork. It was funny because the pieces were on display along the halls of the building and there were windows into the neighboring rooms so thats why you can see into the class next door. It's some performing choir class or something.
Here is one of his fine pieces. He said that he also made the stand out of limestone I believe. Cool isn't it! There are a lot more pieces but once again we'll put those on A. A.'s.
After all that excitement we went to the BYU bookstore to see what they had. Of course they have everything including these lovely fan wigs. Don't they look true blue?
Here is Leah after her hard long HOT HOT day at BYU. We walked pretty much all over that campus and she got a little drained and lethargic, so it was really nice to come home after such a long day. Andrew is wearing his fathers day gift from Leah and me, and Leah is sporting her BYU T-shirt. It's pretty snazzy.
Also, Andrew woke up early this morning around 5 AM and went to Provo for his last two finals. He is pretty sure that he did well on his O chem test and got a 93% on his accounting! He is now done and is asleep in bed. Whew!!!

what a fun day you appear to have had. i love noah's vase, how extremely beautiful and what talent he has. also, i liked to see leah with her hand in aa's mouth. i wonder how many baby's fingers aa has licked; i seem to remember seeing her do it more than once. i bet she is enjoying getting acquainted with leah. can't wait to see her blog after you have taken her in hand.
