A lot, again, has happened since my last post.
For one thing, Leah keeps getting cuter and cuter! She has really got the crawling thing down and can get herself anywhere in the condo.
We have had to start closing all of the doors, especially the bathroom door so that she doesn't get into the toilet paper again.
The day after our Lagoon trip we went to the second day of the Hawkes family reunion, it was located at Becky's (Andrew's sister) church house. We played a ton of games and had some talents and skits at the end of the day. We were there from 9 to 9. It was a long and fun day.
The third day of the Hawkes family reunion was to go to the Days of '47 parade in downtown Salt Lake City. The Schauerhamer family had bought tickets to sit in the bleachers to ensure themselves a seat. I thought about it and I didn't think taking Leah to the bleachers in the heat would be a good idea, especially since this is the most crowded parade I've ever been to. So we went with Sara and the kids instead. Did I mention Andrew rolled his ankle playing a mean game of dodgeball with all of this uncles, anyways he couldn't come so he was at home on the couch watching the whole parade on TV.
We found the most perfect spot. It was under a tree with a lot of shade and plenty of room for us to spread out.
Leah, before the show, decided she needed a little treat and got into the patriotic taffy.
She insisted on crawling everywhere and standing up next to the kids, by the way she is still in her pajamas. I love these pajamas they are darn cute so I left them on her on purpose.
One of the first "floats" in the parade was our beloved prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. The kids where all standing on their chairs so they could see him.
I didn't get a very good picture of these guys but they are my favorite, they are the different police academies around the city. They ride on motorcycles and do really cool formations, they also throw in a little humor by all having serious looks on their faces while sporting very obnoxious fake mustaches. They are very cool and loud!
I put these guys in because they are always in the parade. Don't ask me what they are but I just always remember the long dresses that cover the horses behinds.
This float was my favorite, it was from one of the polynesian wards, Samoan or Tongan, I can't remember which but they had dancers walking along side and doing dances every once in a while.
As anyone who has ever been to this parade knows, that this parade is LONG so I decided to give Hannah a new little style, fishtail. So as I was finishing up I looked up and noticed something familiar....
Good ol' Emery High school Spartan Band, (in case you couldn't read the banner :) ) For those of you who don't know this is the high school my mom and her brothers and sisters graduated, along with most of my cousins.
They had traveled from the middle of Utah to come perform in the parade. They were one of the many excellent marching bands showing off their skills at the parade. Soon after these guys the parade was over. So we headed home.
The Schauerhamers came over to our place afterwards and went swimming in our pool. I was soo tired from our activities that I fell asleep while they swam. When I woke up I found this little hooligan. I want you guys to guess what you think Leah has all over her face and shirt! See if you can figure it out.
After the Schauerhamers headed home we headed over to Sara's for a fun BBQ so that we could be all together before we went to the fireworks show.
We walked quite a ways to get as close as we could, they close off the street and people just set up their lawn chairs where ever. We found a good spot in the median of 700 East. Jonas was tired from his long haul so he helped himself to a fine A&W root beer.
Kelsie was excited to see the fireworks too of course.
The last time that I had attended this firework show, Hannah was very small, probably only 5 or so. The whole time she hid under the lawn chairs and screamed because she didn't like the fireworks. I'm glad to say that she got over that and enjoyed them very much this time.
In case you didn't get to witness any fireworks for your 24th of July celebration, here is the finale of ours.
Lately, after all of our activities with reunions and such we have been doing a lot of swimming, every single day, except Sunday of course.
Click on the above picture for a good action shot of Kelsie
We have had many days where everyone comes over and swims in our pool. It is soo much fun and so relaxing. I hope that we can continue our swimming parties so that it can take my mind off the fact that I have to go back to school on the 18th! Dreadful!

My guess is that she crawlwd into the bathroom and got into your red lipstick. Maybe she will grow up to be a hollywood makeup stylist. I guess you will have to keep evreything up higher.
Sorry, I was going to tell you how much I enjoyed the new pictures.
I'd like to see a movie of Leah crawling.
Only because I have been sharing the package, I know that she was eating red licorice. Yum! Thanks for all your help this week during girls camp.
Before Stacy even said above I knew it was the Red Vines because I saw them at your place. By the way I am planning on many more days of swimming just so you are prepared. It has been so fun. See ya soon.
I should have known it was red vines, but I didn't. I thought how red can strawberries be and also I thought maybe it was jello. And who was supposed to be watching the little angel while her mother had a nap? That is a vute picture of her (as all of them are).
Bishop Heward, who has been so sick, passed away this afternoon. So sad for Renee. We will miss him.
Well the band had better be good. They practiced every morning around 7:30. They walked throught the Castle Dale subdivisions. I would see them go by when I went to practice tennis a few times. I have to admit they didn't sound to great when I heard them but I guess they got better.
