Okay, I've really got to stop doing this..... I wait too long and have way too many pictures to post.... so be prepared for lots o' pictures. We have been really busy the last let's just say month! It has been crazy and really really fun. It's not over yet but let's catch up shall we?

We went to good ol' Ashton Idaho for a fun week vacation and had a blast.... okay maybe not a total blast considering we did some pretty dirty work... more about that later.

It was good to see that the house was still intact considering their harsh harsh winter. I would say that Ashton recovered really quite well. It is beautiful there. (If you click on this picture you will see Zack loafing it in the front yard.)

Leah enjoyed many rides in her cool wagon, a.k.a Grandpa's Father's Day present.

I took the working boys some lunch, BBQ pork sandwiches and apple dumplings. YUMMM!

We went fishing, Zack was the only one to catch a fish but it was scrumptious!

I call these three the Three Amigos, OR the Three Musketeers, OR The Three Stooges?

We floated the Warm River, which wasn't so warm according to Zack.

We cleaned the most disgusting job EVER! The old shower house that contained really really old stuff, including old elk furs, sheep skins and tons of spider webs and mouse poops.

Oh, but we made some delicious cherry pies! My favorite EVER!

We put in a nice brick finish on Mom's flower garden.

It looks great!

That was pretty much the end of our vacation up there but we were able to bring back a souvenir..... ZACK!!!!

We came home to a really fun birthday for our favorite three year old! EVERYTHING was PINK!!! Definitely my kind of party!

And our favorite Kelsie came back from Texas. We missed her SOOO SOOO much!

So Maren recieved the best present ever.... A Princess scooter! Talk about flashy!

Then on Monday for FHE we all went up Big Cottonwood canyon on a little picnic. It was really fun. Full of waterfalls and lots of places to climb. It was perfect because it was right off the highway but very secluded.

Leah loved the little trip and did her own form of climbing.

Maren tried to climb as far up as she could but her pink sketchers just couldn't take her far enough. :)

Then it was dinner time and Leah munched on several Dorito chips.

While.... Esme got into the sub sandwiches!

I think our goal was to see how messy Leah could get. I'm not sure if she could have been any dirtier.

Up close shot!

Esme stayed pretty clean..

Andrew insisted on taking Leah up this big rock.

Sorry the picture is blurry but this was the only photo I got of everyone, except Andrew who was hiding up in the tree about to scare them. :)
Yesterday, we went to Lagoon and had a blast at the Hawkes family reunion.

This is Andrew and Zack coming down the water slide. Zack got soaked!

Leah's face sums up her experience at Lagoon.

The only ride Leah went on was the train and she loved it.

So later that night we thought it would be fun to have Leah win something from all the little game stands. We decided on the Lucky Duck booth considering you are guaranteed to win something. So she picked three ducks and won!

What a fun day at Lagoon and we are on to our next adventure today... the continuation of the Hawkes Family Reunion! Yahoo! Fun times!!!

I'm glad you're having such good times. I love the pictures of your FHE and Leah at Lagoon. She looks like she loves the big yellow duck. You'll get tired of having all those stuffed animals to deal with. Zack got home safe, albeitm two+ hours late. It put me in a bind, because I was supposed to be home to show the RS ladies from 2nd ward our gardens. So I was late and didn't get home in time and got there just to walk them out ofthe yard. They had gone ahead and given themselves a tour. It was kind of funny, because I would have liked to have talked to them. but they were on a time schedule and had to get to Joleen Parkinson's yard next. Zack said he had a good time. You have left a few things here, of course. I will have to send them down with Lizzy. Hope the rest of your reunion goes well.
Busy Bees you all have been. Hope to spend some time with you in the near future. I am glad that you have been able to have lots of adventures this summer. That is what it is all about I suppose. Or at least that is what I am trying to tell myself.
Wow!! What great photos! Leah has the best expressions!
I love Leah and her little chip... She is so funny..
Miss you guys.. Wish I could have seen more of you when I was up.. maybe this next month!
So many good pictures. It looked like a good time was had by all. I hope the rest of your summer is as much fun as the first two thirds. Oh no was that a subtle reference to the upcoming school year. Let's not think about that now. Too much fun stuff to do.
