I can't believe that my summer is over... it seems like that had to have been my favorite summer so far. I have had soo much fun and have loved every minute of it. Fortunately, we have one more little exciting adventure on Friday and Saturday. We are going camping and it should be nice to do one more little thing before school officially begins on Monday. I have been at school this week trying to prepare for the coming school year. I have learned one thing and that is that I love to throw things away. I love getting rid of junk and making everything organized. At the end of last year I was too excited to get out of there that I didn't clean up very well. So i have had to catch up and my filing cabinets are nice and neat and I can prepare my lessons now. I am just praying that I have a good group of kids. We have some fun things planned, I have put together this group project with the other teachers in the house with me, (english and world Civ.) we are going to be doing a whole unit on Olympics. If you know me, you know that I love the Olympics and so we are going to have our own form of the olympics with our sophomores. They are going to compete in events, make flags, represent countries, have an exercise and nutrition plan, write stories about the real athletes and learn about the history of the Olympics. We are still trying to think of things to do for events so if you have any ideas let me know. I am so excited to do this! It should be really fun. The administration loves the idea and are going to have us do it the week of homecoming so that we can have a big celebration week. Anyways.... that's just one of the projects we have planned for this year.
Leah starts Kinderbeets on the 2nd and it's going to be fun to see how she will interact with the kids now that she can crawl around and really play. It should be fun to see. Andrew starts school on the 2nd as well and will be taking a load of classes, I hope that he can do it. I will try and be more encouraging instead of so bossy like a teacher. I just have to keep reminding myself that I am not his teacher but instead his wife.
Sorry! no pictures of Leah this time but look forward to seeing a few of her sleeping and doing her own form of olympics!

Glad to hear about your school start. It's fun to think of Leah at Kinderbeet's, riding around in the Kinderbeet bus. I'm sure that anyone would be happy to take care of Leah and see her cheesy grins all day long. The start of school has always been so exciting. I love the newness of the clothes, the pencils and pens and even the shiny cleanliness of the hallways. It's a great time of year. Hey, maybe you could have a trivia game about Jordan H.S. or the Olympics. Just a thought.
I like your Olympic idea and I am sure the kids will too. By the way, my games for Mutual were a hit. How did you get your signature at the end of your post. I like it.
Was the olympics subject your idea? It sounds like something you did before for a lesson plan or something. Have a fun weekend camping. I hope Little Leah doesn't give you too much trouble sleeping. Does she have some camping clothes?
the olympic thing was my idea. I had planned it clear back in college and have always wanted to do it since and this seemed the right time to do it. I guess you could say that Leah technically Doesn't have any camping clothes but she has really warm fuzzy pajamas! does that count?
