My Latest Sewing Projects

Thanks to Aunt Lizzie's Sew Beautiful magazine, I got the idea for Leah's strip skirt. Oh and thanks to her for the fabric too. Both for Leah's and Lily's.
Lily and Leslie will have matching skirts. Apparantly Lizzie is making a skirt for Les on her mission out of the same fabric. I kind of just made this one up.
The fabric for these are from left over half yards from a collection I used to make a quilt for a little boy. I just didn't think that the little boy would appreciate the floral designs in these two fabrics. I traced jumpers that the girls already had onto butcher paper to make the pattern for these little tops. Then looked to see how the jumpers were made and went from there. Mom you would be proud.

Also thanks to Lizzie for the really cute pattern from Amy Butler's nappy bag. Very big and nice to pack around a lot of things. I really wanted to make it but didn't have enough fabric of my own so I went over to mom's house and found this silver and charcoal fabric.
As for these little bean bags, I used some scraps from some fun fat quarters I had bought a year ago. I love the fun bright colors and the girls love to tote them around. I made six and could only find four.

Isn't it fun to sew for your girls. I loved sewing for mine. The girlies are looking so cute. I bet you may lose track of a few more bean bags. I don't remember how many sets of bean bags I made and I don't have any of them now. Don't let them get damp, the beans sprout.

Your pictures look like ads in a magazine. I know that is what you were going for. So cute. Cute bean bags. I have never made any but I can see with those bright colors they would be very eye catching and tempting to walk around with. I might have to try doing some.

How did you make that flower on the charcoal bag? I think you should do more tutorials ;)... Then it would be easier for me to copy. But really, very cute stuff..
