Extra Curricular Activities

We have been very busy lately,
  •  Andrew has taken on the project of making an entertainment center for our TV room. He wanted to get a new TV and I told him only if he builds the entertainment center to save us some money and also so that I can have it just the way I want it. He has also been busy being sick. Poor guy keeps getting sick and hasn't been healthy for more than two weeks this winter. He seems to catch anything and everything.
  • I have agreed to do the decorations for the Junior Miss Program, (Distinguished Young Woman) next Saturday on the 26th. I have been busy scrounging up African Safari items and attempting to make something like the opening scene of Lion King across the NF school stage. I'll post pictures later, so far it looks pretty good. I also am coaching a club volleyball team made of six 14 and 15 year olds. We had our first tournament last Saturday. We did pretty good and beat all teams we played one out of the two times we played them.  Today my Webelos Scouts made some simple fleece blankets where you cut the sides into strips and then tie a knot in them, perfect for ten year old boys. We will be taking them to members of our ward who are currently in the nursing home. This will complete both their craftsman and citizen activity badges.
  • Leah is busy changing into four or five outfits a day. She goes from ballerina to princess to jammies back to ballerina and then to clothes she can, "go to Exburg" in. She makes us laugh and says very clever things all the time. Her latest thing is getting drinks for all of us from the bathroom sink. She seems pretty pleased with herself that she can do that all by herself, meanwhile there are little cups full of water everywhere. Lately, we have been trying to teach Leah that there are good words and bad words. She catches me often saying the S word, stupid and instantly informs me, "Mom! That is a bad word!" She pays very close attention to Andrew and me and the TV shows. She keeps us on our toes.
  • Lily has become a little sap! She has quite the personality and likes playing pretend with Leah. They play pretty good together and I can tell Lily just loves having someone to play with and that Leah actually wants to play with her instead of tease and hurt her. She repeats every word we ask her to say and says them quite well. She communicates with us so much more and I think even earlier than Leah did. She is a sweetheart and loves going to nursery. Despite her small stature she can fend for herself and has a strong personality.

I've seen this quote many times before but think this is a perfect time to share it,
"It may be a crazy life, but it's our life!"

I also like putting on special clothes to go to Exburg in. It sounds like you are having a crazy, busy life. My sense is that you would not have it any other way though. Am I right or am I right?

You are definitely right! Poor Andrew, I hope Spring is better!

I am just the opposite from Leah. I like to wear the same clothes over and over. I don't want to decide what top goes with what bottom. I just want to wear the clothes that I wore yesterday. I need to be a little more like Leah.

My question is, are you sure Leah is getting the water from the sink when she goes to the bathroom? You might be getting eau de toilette.
