The girls, my mom and I came down to Utah last week so that we could be to the airport to pick up Leslie who was getting home from her mission in Costa Rica. We made her a sign, brought balloons and even had annoying noise makers to welcome her home. We had to wait awhile before she actually came down the stairs but it was all worth it since we got to see Jimmer come down the escalator a few minutes before we saw Leslie. It was a fun experience and we were so happy to see her, she looked amazing and we had missed her so much!
We let her give her parents a hug first before the rest of us bombarded her with hugs. It's funny because before she arrived we made a bet to see what color of clothes she was wearing, Sara said black, I said turquoise and as you can see from the pictures below, we were both right!
It was the happiest we had seen Dennis, her dad, in a year and a half! We helped her get her luggage, headed back to Sara's house and had a good time visiting with her and hearing her stories from Costa Rica. The next day we all traveled down to Castle Dale to continue the festivities.
Leslie had brought home with her a dress for each of the little girls. They all looked so cute but I'm sure pretty fair compared to the little girls in Costa Rica.
On Sunday Leslie reported in church and did a wonderful job. She spoke with another missionary who just returned from the same mission as my cousin Jack Waller, they had been in the same district and had become good friends. Small world eh?
Most everyone had to leave Sunday night to go home for work and other responsibilities but we decided to stay. Les was anxious to see the desert so that's where we headed on Monday along with my mom, Lizzy and the girls. First, Goblin Valley and then the dough rocks.
It has rained so much this spring that a lot of the desert flowers were in bloom, they were beautiful and I couldn't help but get some pictures.
Then today we had a tea party, of course! It was soo yummy, the weather was perfect and it was just us girls, Lizzy, Mom, Me, the girls, Les and Banner. It was a fine tea party!
I made the chocolate mousse.
Mom made the strawberry puffs.
Leslie arranged the shrimp and the sandwiches.
Lizzy made the delicious cake.
It was a beautiful evening and we noticed the lighting on the desert and decided to climb the hill to get some pictures.
We have loved being here in Castle Dale, to visit with the Fullers and the Fauvers. We will be sad to go, don't know when but we will.

I love another version of the airport welcome home. The little girls look so cute in their dresses from Costa Rica. I thought it was especially entertaining to see Lily tuck her hands into her bodice. When I saw the vista shots from on top of the hill I started tearing up. Emery County is so beautiful.
