Jason and Leslie Gibson

It's funny because it takes me so long to upload all of the photos and to make sure that they go in the right order that by the time I have to explain what the post is about I get lazy and want to only give the bare minimum of information because I'm already tired of it. I wish I were a better and more interesting writer, but alas I would rather speak more through my pictures than through the words. I will try, however, to give an account of one of the nicest weddings I've ever attended.

One of the reasons it was so great was that the sealer who sealed Jason and Leslie gave some excellent advice on marriage, he called them the 5 Cs, so let's see if I can remember them....
1. Commitment
2. Courtship
3. Communication
4. um... Conserve and
5......well I can't remember. Maybe if someone would help me out with that I can edit this later and put in the last tip. The sealing was beautiful and so was the bride! :) I love weddings and have been fortunate to witness many!

After waiting for a long time, Leslie and Jason finally decided to grace us with their presence and come out to greet us as husband and wife. They sure do love each other and that's such a wonderful thing to see as her cousin, friend and photographer. It made my job easy!

It was bitterly cold and in between the group photos we lost about half of our family due to the low temps. I don't remember much since I was kind of side tracked with trying to get good pictures but I what I do remember was at one point a whole group of people trying to calm down a frantic Essie who was froze to the bone! Poor girl.

The temple grounds looked so beautiful, it didn't seem fair that it had to be so cold. I wasn't really able to let my creative juices flow because I didn't want Leslie to get hypothermia. It's alright we don't always get what we want on our wedding day as I all to clearly recall.

After more pictures we went to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building to have a really nice and delicious dinner at the reception, one of the best, if not THE best I've ever had there. Great choices Lizzy and Les! Loved it all, the appetizers, the cake, decorations and well EVERYTHING!

The pictures that I worked on for about a week turned out very romantic, I edited the pictures while listening to songs on Pandora. I was editing and they were just ho-hum, until "Moon River" came on and it really inspired the "mood" for the black and whites, or more rightly named gray and whites. So maybe sing that to yourself as you look at the rest of the pictures.

What a beautiful couple! It was my pleasure to take their wedding photos, I hope that they are very happy together and enjoy their time together in Boston, learn to love each other even more than they already do and continue to keep their covenants they made that day.

Morgan, thank you so much for those photos. You are incredible. I have looked at the ones you emailed me over and over. It was a beautiful day, and now we can remember it over and over with the beautiful pictures you took. You're right, they are very romantic, but then, it was a romantic occasion, so you did them justice. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all your work, skill and talent. Love you so much. Liz

PS, thanks for not publishing the pic where you caught me scolding Dennis. I've been trying to think what that was all about. I believe I was trying to discourage him from getting up and telling silly jokes.
