In case you didn't hear it yesterday....

Here is one of the most beautiful arrangements of Simple Gifts I have heard. I thought it was a perfect song to play at an inauguration. I was glad that I was able to watch it on TV while doing my grades for 2nd quarter. They really pulled out the stops and had all of the "big" boys put this piece together. I, being an emotional person, cried because it was so beautiful.

I agree and am really glad that you were watching the inauguration. For me it was the most beautiful part of the ceremony. I also appreciated that the oath of the President got a little jumbled but still was recognizable as the oath. I had to tune out after the inauguration for DUPs but did catch the UofU marching band, just as they went to a commercial. What a long day of events and pomp and circumstance. I'm glad its over.

I am glad that you caught that. I was not able to see it as I was busy at work. I saw a lot of the stuff in the evening. It really was a beautiful arrangement. Especially the beginning.
