Last week we had Jamie, Kenny and Logan come from UT, Grandpa Baum from AZ, and the Wallers from CA. We were so happy to see everyone and decided to have a fun snow day with the snowmachine and tubes. It was a very good day.
Jamie and Kenny had to leave to go back to Tooele because Kenny had to work but it was good to see them and spend time with their cute little Logan.
On Christmas Eve we had a delicious dinner at my parents house full with prime rib, mashed potatoes, delicious holiday salad, hot rolls, and even St. Nick's Lime Fizz. We had the missionaries over and they were kind enough to sing us a christmas hymn in Spanish. My mom figured it was the least we could do to have them over since we have three missionaries out in the Baum and Jorgensen family. It was nice to treat them to a good meal. After they left we read Luke 2 and sang Christnas carols.
That night Santa Claus came to the Schauerhamer house and while we were in bed Andrew and I heard a noise in the living room. Andrew ran out there to see what was up and noticed that there were no longer any santa gifts under the Christmas tree! He followed the noise and found Leah in her room playing with all of the Santa gifts she had dragged in. I imagine she was pretty excited to see such a wonderful load of pink baby toys to play with. Andrew told her that they needed to be put back under the tree and that she could play with them in the morning.
The girls were pleased as punch with the beautiful dolls and doll play accessories. I made them some fancy pink pillows and blankets for their dollies.
It was a very good Christmas morning! Everyone got wonderful gifts and we enjoyed giving gifts as well. For weeks before Christmas, Andrew had been working on a head board for our bed. Andrew used an old door that we had on the farm and made it into this really beautiful headboard. I knew about it and asked him to do it but he did most of the work with out me being there. He did a great job don't you think?
Andrew's gifts really were a hit this year because he also had the brilliant idea to get a book printed of all of my blog posts for the year 2010. It is one of the best gifts I could have asked for, now we just need to get ones for the previous years and all the years to come. It sure motivates me to keep up my blog better!
Along with the blog book I recieved some beautiful jewelry, a really really nice dress coat from my parents, cute snow letters from Whitney and some new pots and pans, yay! Andrew got a nice electric sander, tennis shoes, new bedding, and a nice winter coat. The girls got cute clothes, cute stuffed animals and from the Butikofers fun trinkets in cute bags. Thanks everyone for spoiling us this year we feel really blessed to have recieved such nice gifts.
After opening gifts and talking with Zack on his mission in Uruguay (so nice to talk to him) we headed down to Hibbard to see the Schauerhamers and spend the rest of the day with them.
Over the weekend I've been trying to get some good pictures of the girls in their beautiful christmas dresses. Easier said than done. I'm still working on it but here are some so far.
What a wonderful Christmas! We have been so blessed and feel so thankful for being able to be with family and spending our Christmas Holiday with people we love. I hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday and that it was filled with the true spirit of Christmas like ours was. Thanks again to everyone and Happy New Year!

Such lovely pictures. I think the blog book is a great idea. I would like to see a little more of the Christmas dresses. Are they wearing black tights with black shoes or white tights with black shoes? I think the best story is when you found Leah with all the doll accessories in her bedroom.
I think Andrew is amazing. You are lucky to have someone so handy. Your headboard is really nice. The girls are just as cute as ever. I'm glad you had a great christmas. Let me know if you get a hankering to come visit me in Utah.
The girls are so cute, as always! I love your new bed. That Andrew is a very talented man! Thank you so much for helping Sara with the pictures. I don't think I have ever gotten such a great gift!
We had a great time up there! Thanks for the fun times. I had to laugh out loud at what Leah did with her gifts from Santa! :D And the headboard turned out amazing! How clever, making it out of an old door. :)
Looks like a fairy tale Christmas up there. Where did Andrew get your book. I need to do the same thing. I also want to know where you get your collages. Is it Adobe?
