Last Thursday we had some friends come over to do some fun Easter activities and lunch. We had Rachel, Lincoln and Isabelle Erickson
Britney, Hailee and Carter Erickson
Margie, Andrew and Jackson Walker
Marlese, Connor and Brayden Seaver
and of course Me, Leah and Lily
So it was a houseful and tons of fun.
We dyed eggs,
Played fun Party Easter games with the eggs. The older kids tried to make it across the room while balancing an egg on a spoon. That was very entertaining to watch.
Then it was time for the Easter egg hunt. It was good enough weather to have it outside and the eggs were all over the backyard so it was instant chaos with kids running everywhere, other babies opening up eggs and dumping the insides onto the grass, picking them up and eating them anyway.
Yesterday was Easter Sunday and for a couple weeks before my mom has been working on making the girls' dresses. Lily's was made from a woman's button up blouse and Leah's was made from a woman's skirt. I love them both and they fit each girl so well both in body and in personality.
Yesterday Leah gave her second talk in primary and she did such a wonderful job. I only had to tell her a few times before she had it memorized. She really has a great memory and can pick up on songs and these talks really fast. I love listening to her and when she did it in primary she spoke up nice and loud and did a really great job. Here is her talk, I realized later that it is actually a primary song that they are learning, I just found it on the Internet.
At the Last Supper, Jesus blessed the Sacrament for the Apostles.
In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed, "Thy will be done."
Jesus was crucified on the cross.
Jesus was buried in a tomb.
But on the third day, he arose and was resurrected.
After his resurrection, Jesus visited lots of people.
Did Jesus really live again after his resurrection? Oh yes, and because he did, so shall we!
Jesus has asked that I remember him and keep his commandments, I can do that for him.

So glad to get a glimpse of your Easter. The dresses are lovely. Your Mom always does such a great job, and to remake them from something else is smart and thinking ahead. Get full use of an item. I love how that pink skirt can twirl.
I am curious about the recycled dresses. Were they clothes she just had in the closet or did she buy them with the purpose of making them into dresses for the girls? can you believe this great weather. I am so glad that you are experiencing it in Idaho as well.
