We love going to the fair but this trip was a little different, we had volunteered along with my parents to help with the Farm Bureau booth. Our duties were to encourage kids to come try milking our cow, Molly, and hand out chocolate milk and pamphlets to get Agriculture into the classroom. It was a four hour shift and we had a good time but by the time 2 o'clock rolled around we were ready to go wander around on our own.
Across the walkway was a fun little set up for the kids. The girls enjoyed the different activities.
Also across the walkway was a radio station booth where they offered free pictures with your favorite Presidential candidate, of course we had the girls stand with Mitt Romney. ;)
After some lunch and a walk through our favorite buildings, the photography, art and needlework, we went to Midway to ride some rides. We purchased some tickets and let the girls choose which ones they wanted ride.
This picture was taken just a second before she was jerked forward giving that large noggin a good whip lash! We were all laughing pretty hard every time she went around. Poor girl but she came off with a smile so we were happy.
We always have such a good time at the fair but it does make for a long day. We were glad that Dad and Andrew could come with us since harvest was over, usually it has to be pouring rain for them to get to go to the fair. Next year I really want to try submitting some of my photography to at least the county fair and then to the State fair, it's one of my goals. :)
