Russell's Baby Blessing

Russell was blessed on Sunday, September 2nd by Andrew. We had a lot of family come from both sides and were so happy to have the love and support from so many.
Grandma Baum had been working this past week on Russell's blessing outfit, which turned out so beautiful and absolutely fitting for our little guy. She always does an amazing job when she sews anything and we have been fortunate enough to make this the third sweet blessing outfit made by her. The afghan was made by my Aunt Sara which is also beautiful and perfect for a little boy, thank you so so much both mom and Sara for helping to make Russell look so good on his blessing day!

After the blessing was testimony meeting where Russell's Uncle Jeremy bore his testimony and mentioned that Russell Raymond was the first Schauerhamer grandson, in other words he is the first to pass on the name. I feel very proud of that. :) He also mentioned how he was so happy that Russell is named after their grandfather, Raymond Hawkes. Raymond was a wonderful man that sadly past away just a year ago, so we are happy to pass on this name as well.

I thought since everyone was dressed up for church I'd have a chance to take some pics of all three kids in their white outfits. I love my kids in white, maybe it reminds me that they truly are little angels....until they get dirt on their white outfits. :)

Russell got lots of lovin' this weekend, he was held most if not all the time. There were plenty who were anxious to meet him and squeeze him and that's just what they did!

After church we had everyone come to our house to have dinner, it was such a good day! The weather was wonderful and so was the food and of course all the company to visit with. Andrew and I sure are blessed to have such good family to help put on such a party. Thanks everyone for all your help!

I love these next three pictures, they are beautiful because they are of two very proud Grandmothers.
