There have been a few birthdays lately, first it was Grandpa Baum's birthday. We went to the fair that day and enjoyed spending the time with him but I didn't get his present done until the other day .
Then it was the girls' friend Ethne's birthday and I decided we would do a little sign for her too. Now I need to make another one for my girls since it turned out so fun and cute.
Next first: Leah in real preschool! Meaning we are actually paying for this one, she goes Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 11 am. It is called the Cornerstone Learning Center and they go to the Christian Fellowship church in town. She loves it so far and is making new friends.
While Lily and Russell were still asleep, Leah and I had a little fun with the camera. I showed this to both Lily and Leah later on the computer and it was pretty much the funniest thing they had ever seen, I admit it's pretty hilarious. Goofball!
This one's a little better.
After my picture taking Leah decided she wanted to give it a try, it's a little tricky for a four year old to hold and use a DSLR camera but she somehow pulled off a picture of me. Mind you it was early in the morning before my shower but since I never post pictures of myself I thought I would post this one since Leah took it.
Another first, Russell has been smiling lately! Soooo cute! We can't get enough of this guy, and from the pictures below you can see why. P.S. I LOVE babies in nightgown jammies, somehow they make them more irresistible than they already are.
Next: First time harvesting and freezing corn! My dad planted a small patch of corn in the middle of one of the grain fields. It froze the other night so we decided it was time to pick it all and get it stored. So we packed up the family and rode the Ranger 4x4 out to the Winfrey place.
First day of Joy School for Lily! Both girls get to go to joy school on Wednesdays from 9-11 am. We rotate with 6 other moms to have Joy school at their houses to learn letters.
Wednesday was the letter A where they made caramel apples, alligator A's and made the letter A with homemade play dough. They loved it and look forward to next week!
Possibly my favorite first this week was the first time poor Little Russ got dressed up like a girl... Or just decorated with very girly things. Sorry buddy, probably going to be the first of many!

I reconogize that pot! How much corn did you get? Looks like you had a bunch to freeze. How are my tomatoes? If it's going to freeze, go over and get the cover just inside my back door and put it on the tomatoes please. I hope to can some more when I get home. Love the goofy pics of Leah. She's hilarious.
I look forward to the visit. The trouble with having older sisters!
