Guess who turned 5?

Leah turned 5 on Tuesday, Oct. 23rd 2012!

Leah was very excited to go to preschool the morning of her birthday because her dad had bought some delicious pink cookies from the bakery at Dave's that she was going to share with her classmates at school. She shared those and some milk and when I went to pick her up I found a large present left for her from another student, Aaron. Turns out it was a really nice present (Tinker Bell play Cafe) and I didn't even know the kid or the mom so this morning I had Leah make a very nice thank you card for him and his mom with drawings and hearts.

Later that day we had some friends come over to have lunch and frost cupcakes. The girls had a great time. We are lucky to have such good friends, Britney, Hailee, Becca and Kaitlynn.
So that was the extent of our festivities on Tuesday but on Wednesday we decided to go to the Mexican Restaurant because it's Leah's favorite place to go and she asks to go there every time we are in town. After dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Baum we all came back and had cupcakes and ice cream and opened presents. The cupcakes were decorated by the girls at Joy School, they turned out very bright and delicious.

The presents were great, she got a coloring book from Whitney, Cinderella shirt from Aunt Sara, cute dress and leggings, Princess Arora Doll and puzzle game from G and G and from us, a Sunday dress and ballet slippers. Thanks everyone she sure loves all her gifts!

Russell wasn't happy and needed to eat but I was busy with the Birthday stuff so Mom decided to have him try a sour gummy worm with frosting, at first he was upset and then he realized it was really tasty!

We sure love our Leah Jane and can't believe she is already five years old! She is such a good girl and a very good big sister with a big heart. She listens very well and does what she is told... most of the time. :) She does such a good job at preschool and is very smart. We love what a beautiful young lady she is growing up to be. We love you Leah, Happy Fifth Birthday sweetheart!
