Halloween and other stuff!

I hadn't posted the pictures that they took at Kinderbeets on her birthday, but better late than never. They made this crown and took dozens of pictures of her trying to catch her with it actually on her head. A few times they were successful but most of them are blurry because she was really quick to rip it off.

This one for example, now multiply this one times about five and then you know how many times they attempted it.

A few weeks ago Leah and I went to see Tennyson run in her cross country meet at Juan Diego high school. I'm proud of her that she could actully complete the race because I know I couldn't have.

Leah thought she would get on the track and run with the girls too.

Okay, on to Halloween. Our little lion had a pretty good day at Josh and Stacy's while I was at school entering grades. I was able to come home early and help with costumes and preparations for the party. Leah just played and dreaded the fact that, once again, she had to put something on her head.

This is one of the few pictures I have of her with it on, so I'm sacrificing a good "open-eyed" shot just so that you can see her with the cute mane on.

Before the kids went out trick or treating we made them trick or treat at the house. It was funny Stacy and Sara shewed them out and then made them ring the doorbell and yell "trick or treat" before she would open the door and give them their first treat of the night.

Our first sight on our little trip around the block was to see the fun pumpkins that we carved and the ones that John and Rebecca's family had carved. That front large one is carved from their homegrown pumpkin and very closely resembles one fat alien from Star Wars, don't you think?

Our little lion, and Alice in Wonderland were ready to get going! But first, the lion had to learn to walk in her costume! Let's just say she took a few falls before she got the walking down.

Alice from the front.

One of the best houses we dropped by. He really scared the kids when he opened the door, this guy is always dressed up really well each Halloween.

Jonas, the cowboy, and Gabe's the Spider Man were way too fast running from house to house. I was barely able to get them in view for a picture.

Leah, after a while, desserted the mane idea and also insisted on walking instead of riding or being held. I was actually okay with that because she was the cutest little lion walking on two feet that I have ever seen. Plus the night was the warmest it has been in a really long time. I was in short sleeves and it was 6:30 PM.

This was a cute idea that someone had done in front of their sidewalk.

So Zack was able to stay with us this week because we went to the Jason Mraz concert and then he went to a Jazz game yesterday, so he was able to go trick or treating with us this year. He said it has been a really long time since he had been trick or treating. I know it looks like Leah isn't very fond of Zack in this picture but they actually became pretty good buds after Zack figured out how to completely baby proof his Wii cords.

The lion eventually got tuckered out and needed to be held so Zack offered a piggy back ride for the remainder of the block. They both had a great time.

Our little White Rabbit fell asleep prematurely but enjoyed candy later.

Here is our little Boogaboo after a day (Saturday) of a high fever, a night of a high fever and her mom feeling like trying a new do.
I haven't noticed any other symptoms of sickness other than a high fever and really exhausted. We'll wait and see if anything develops, in the mean time we get to take a really nice relaxing Sunday before we head back to the grind after some very eventful weeks.Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!

I am glad you put up more pictures. I realized that I had not got any of the actual trick or treating. I love her new style. Before long she will have several new looks.

I hope our little sweetheart is feeling better today. What do you think she has? a tummyache from too much partying or could she be getting more teeth? I'm wondering how the docotr's appointment went. I called last night and left a message. I will call again tonight. How are you feeling? Zack says you're sick all the time. Well, just stay away from food and bad smells. Maybe only chicken broth etc.
