Making it and Loving it... Now we're exhausted!

Lily:
We made her 17 months ago! We'r loving her for sure!

Leah:
We made her 35 months ago! We're working on loving her... :) Just kidding.
Okay, okay... too much information. I just wanted to post these cute pictures of Lily who will actually wear her hat and Leah in my old dress. Cute huh!

Well Andrew and I have been crazy crafting and constructing lately. I went around the house looking at all the things we have whipped up lately and realized that we could start our own little shop.

Nursing Cover a.k.a. Hooter Hider :)
I made this for Andrew's cousin Marlese. She is expecting a boy in January.

All of the materials I found in my mom's basement. Don't you just love that fabric? I fell in love with it the first time I saw it and knew I wanted to put it in a quilt or something but this worked out best because it uses a large piece of fabric.

Gingerbread House
Okay, I just got done looking at Leslie's blog and realized how silly mine looks in comparison to her "Food Network Challenge" quality gingerbread house. If you would like to see it click here. Mine is just a kit and by the end I was ready to either smash it or let Leah have her way with it. :)

Quiet Book
I debated whether or not to post this because it's not finished yet but I wanted to show you all the work that I have put into it so far. I can't remember exactly when I started it but let's just say that if I were to sell this thing I'd probably charge 500 plus dollars. It's been fun but a ton of work!!! and i'm not even done yet!

Cross Stitched Stockings
My mom gave these to me a couple of years ago, a total of four, but this year I decided it would be a good time to get the names on. I have decided to save the other two for future children. So maybe since I only have four stockings we can only have four children. :)

Lily Block Letters
By far the easiest project so far. I think I'll wrap these up and give to her for Christmas.

Mom's Message Board
I have great sister in laws that were interested in doing a craft over the Thanksgiving break. Becki brought all of the materials and we whipped them up while all of the guys watched football. It was really fun and I'm excited to hang a bunch of stuff with those cute magnets.

Bright Christmas Cookies
I planned on having everyone decorate their own, including our friend's the Walkers for family home evening but... as I got going I got a little selfish and did the whole lot myself. Thanks to the cake decorating kit from the Jorgensen's last year I made some pretty fun cookies for Andrew to take to his home teaching families.

Tie Racks
I didn't exactly do these myself since I don't really need one but with the help of Andrew we got all of the parts and pieces for my scouts to make their own little tie racks for their Cub Scout Craftsman Activity Pin. They had a blast painting and being little artists!

Watch Bracelets
Margie and I made these on Wednesday night. It was really fun to do and I can see myself actually wearing a watch now that it has this cute bracelet accessory! The black one is my mom's and the white one is mine.

Salt Dough Ornaments
Also for scouts, I had the boys make these for their Pack Meeting activity. They turned out pretty good. Some spent more time on them than others. The ingredients in case you want to make some yourself with kids or what not is 4 cups of flour, 2 cups of salt, and 2 cups of water. That's it and then food coloring. I baked them at 250 for 30 minutes or until hard.

These are mine that I made.

Andrew has also been very busy lately. He took on the project of organizing and making shelves in my parent's basement. It totally needed to be done and it looks so much better!
Shelves

Blocks and Box
I don't have a picture of Andrew's blocks and box he made but he cut up a bunch of 2x4s and his brother Barry is sanding them now. He also made a box to hold the blocks out of scrap wood and then painted it black with two white racing stripes. It looks great!

Entry Way Table
So lately Andrew honestly has been so busy making things. Someone will say they want something done and then five minutes later he's off working on it. He made this table for me yesterday and it looks so good and I'm excited to have it to fill in that blank wall. Who knew Andrew was so good at wood working. I guess it's not until now that he had access to all of the tools. I love having a husband like him!

Wheww!!! Now can you see why we are exhausted? There are only two more projects that I have done and they may even be my favorite two pieces but I can't show you because they are presents. They turned out awesome and those who are recieving them sure are lucky sons of guns!

You have been busy. My goodness I am impressed. I have been without a computer for over a month and I just got mine back from being repaired, so I'm catching up on what every one is doing. And again I say, "I'm impressed." I'm so glad that Lily wears her hat and it is so charming when you see your little girls wearing an outfit that has been worn and loved by others. I also saw Leslie's gingerbread wonder and it makes me long for for youthful energy. Oh wait that was never my strength. Still I admire the quality in my nieces.

Morgan you are so crafty! I love all the projects you've created...i'm inspired to make some christmas decorations myself. How you feeling about your parents coming to Ethiopia? We feel bad because we know you just moved back...your dad is the perfect fit.
