We love having our friends, the Walkers, over all of the time. They are such good people, such good friends and we always have a good laugh when they are around. Last night we went to a Lady Huskies game with them and they also came to our Box Car Pack Meeting. We had a good time, Thanks Walkers!!!
Last Friday Andrew and Margie came over and we had spaghetti and meatballs fit for Lady and the Tramp.
Then Andrew and Andrew played a few games while Margie and I sorted through a bunch of her old T-shirts that she wanted to make into a quilt. She was involved in a bunch of choir things, EFY stuff and she is a very proud Texan. In a good way :). So we got busy sorting, measuring and cutting.
The above is a very rough layout of what the quilt could possibly look like.
Margie cutting, notice her sleeves, those are from a previously cut T-shirt with sleeves and a back, soooo basically she was wearing a cape while she was cutting. What a goof!
Then they came back over on Saturday....er should I say that we had to go get them because Saturday we had a big snow storm and all they had was their little Honda Civic and we had a pickup and all the roads were closed. So Andrew busted through some drifts to get them so that Margie and I could sew her beautiful T-shirt quilt top. Andrew and Andrew played Axis and Allies. They cheered us on from the side lines.
I think it turned out pretty good! I think it has something like 45 T-shirt parts in it.
Last night, or should I say the night before last, I started rearranging L and L's bedroom. I took the basinette out since Lily has grown out of it and moved the crib over to the other side and put down Leah's new mattress and sheets and stuff (the bed frame still has yet to be painted). Anyways I was anxious to see how she would do in a little bed. It hasn't really been all that smooth but she has slept in it the past few nights. So here are the girlies in Leah's bed while Leah read Lily a story.
I put Lily in bed and then let Leah play, while Andrew and I played a game. When the game was over I went in to check on Leah and she was in bed like this. Yes, those are her new panties that she decided she must wear up around her chest, over her pj's and several at one time. It's good that I checked on her because the leg holes of the panties were cutting off her circulation. A little scary but also pretty darn funny!
Thanks Walkers for being great friends! I'm also very thankful for girls who are doing so well sleeping, getting potty trained and just being so stinkin' fun and cute!

I chuckled when I saw Leah's panties picture. How funny. I'm glad that she likes her new underwear. Can you imagine being so tired that you could fall asleep even though your circulation was being cut off? What a silly billy.
your leah is pretty entertaining. kids to the cutest, craziest, darnedest things and now you have pictures and stories to remember it all. i know my kids did silly, darling things like that but i wrote very few of them down. i'm a little envious that you will have such a good record of their childhood, but mostly very happy for you.
