Well I just finished hand sewing the binding on Leah's little quilt. It turned out really cute and I'm proud of myself for doing the whole thing all on my own. I have learned a lot in the process and have decided that quilting on a my machine is actually not that hard. I didn't do any fancy design for the quilting but that's okay. How do you think it turned out?
I will probably make a few more of these since I know exactly what to do for next time. Anyway, it was fun!
So as for the boys in my life...
Andrew has officially started a website and a blog about his game that is now called Karnaxis. Here is a link to the blog. Andrew's sister, Julie Gerszewski, has been working on all of the digital art for the money, job cards, business cards, board and box. As well as all of the fun little characters like Morgan, Andrew, Alan, Zack, etc. She does amazing work and I am really excited to see the finished product.
Alan, my dad, is heading back to Ethiopia on Sunday. He has a lot to do between now and then and I'm trying to help him get all of the bills and tax info together. I'm learning a lot about stuff I never knew existed. It's good for me! My mom leaves the first part of March with Alyssa's parents, she is Wes Haws' wife, so that she doesn't have to fly to Ethiopia alone. That should be good! They'll both be back in May, just in time for my mom and I to give Jamie Garrett a baby shower!
Zack had his first baptism this past week and we got a few pictures from him. He looks great except for the ones where he's sleeping on the church floor. I'm sure he tries to take a snooze whenever he can since he's working so hard. HE's doing great and we love hearing from him in Uruguay every Monday as well as my cousin Leslie in the MTC. We are recieving a lot of blessings from having them out in the mission field. They are great examples to me and love them both very much.

I think the quilt turned out great. The machine quilting is cute. Leah will love it. Good luck to your Dad, I hope his time in Ethiopia will be productive. I'm sure your Mom is very busy right now getting ready to leave in March. We love getting Zack's e mails. Keep them coming.
The quilt looks wonderful. The colors are great. This quilt will be in your life for a long time. I can imagine all your kids using it and dragging it around your house. They'll snuggle up with it to go sleep and snoodle with it while they are watching TV. So you are learning about taxes. Whatever I learned about doing taxes I forgot sometime ago. Maurie does all of that number stuff for me. I'm excited to hear about the game. Keep us posted about it's development.
i'm not sure why, but i haven't had any emails forwarded from zach for a few weeks. i don't know if your mom has been skipping me or what. i'd like to read his letters. i am forwarding les's to him each week when i forward to everyone. i hope he is getting them. i'm glad he's having a baptism. from her letters and emails i think leslie is having some stress from her coordinating sister calling mixed in with lots of spiritual growth. wish we could see you soon. love, liz
The quilt is adorable. I am sure you are going to really miss your folks. How hard to give up your neighbors.
The quilt turned out amazing! I wish I could do that--right now I feel good about the pants I've been hemming (since I had to get flat shoes, I've had to hem all my dress pants) and the burp cloths and receiving blankets I've made. I'm excited about the baby shower (even though it's not until May). :)
Morgan!
The quilt is AMAZING!! I was just looking at the pictures of the girls on the side bar and I can't believe that when we first met Lily was only 4months old!!! I know that really isn't that long ago, but she has just grown up so much in these five months!!!! I love seeing them grow! And hello, you made potty training look like a piece of cake! I hope my kids are that easy!
Morg--I can hardly keep up with you and your crazy busy life and all of your fun projects. You put me to shame, but what is new? Anyway, I LOVE your quilt. I may just have to steal some of your quilting ideas. They are just TOO dang cute (That is if I ever get around to starting one. :) How did you sew that latest one on your sewing machine? Do you have a special quilting machine or something? Anyway--so cute!
