Another Day in AZ!

Well the weather has been pretty good with the exception of yesterday and today. It has been a bit rainy but I prefer rain over snow. Just an update on my Grandma, some of you may know already but she has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which if you know anything about it you will know that there isn't much you can do to treat it. We went and got her on Friday and have been just trying to make her as comfortable as we can. She is really happy that we are here and I am too, even though the girls are just as "fun" and exciting as ever. They actually have been really good and my grandma is so happy to be able to have them here to watch and laugh at. I am glad that we have been here during this time and to be of some help to her and my grandpa. We have been trying to do things here around the house, not that I really care that we aren't going out and vacationing. I really didn't plan on it in the first place but we have enjoyed going outside and eating the fruit straight off of the trees. :)
This is their back patio and backyard. Notice there is no grass, just rocks. That's just the way it is here in Mesa.
This is their orange tree.
These are some oranges on their orange tree. :)
This is one of their grapefruit trees. They aren't all the way ripen yet but they are still really good. I will be bringing a bunch home.
It wouldn't be my grandpa's backyard if there wasn't some strange contraption holding up.....yes... a tree branch. :)
They don't have a lemon tree, but their neighbor, Monica, does, so we took about ten steps to her house,
had a little visit, then went to work picking a bag full of her lemons!

Would you say she has a plethora of lemons?
Then we said thank you and goodbye, so we could go home to make lemonade of course!  Because when life gives you lemons you make lemonade. That's our theme of the week.
Last night we made sure grandma was alright and comfortable while the rest of us went to a lovely little place
called, Organ Stop Pizza. My grandparents love this place and I have to admit it's quite interesting.  Though I've never seen so many senior citizens in one place before.

I know what you are thinking, why pizza and an organ, I don't know it just is....... Leah liked it! She moved and grooved as the organist played the themes to Star Wars, Pink Panther and Mission Impossible.
Oh, and she enjoyed her Hawaiian pizza.

Then we came home and watched some Olympics. (Apolo win Bronze in the short track. Dang those Koreans!!!!)
OH yeah don't forget to check out the post and link below!

Glad all is going well for you guys in good ol' Mesa--my hometown. :) We used to have a grapefruit and lemon tree in our backyard when we lived there. I would give just about anything for one right about now. Anywho---when are you coming home to ID? Just wondering because SKy and I are debating on whether or not to make a trip up there in a couple weeks for my cousin's baby's blessing. I think we will---I have NO idea whether or not we will make it into a mini-vacation, but it would be fun to see you guys if we can. Let me know your plans and I will let you know as soon as we figure our plans out.

I figured out something was wrong with Ronnie but you are the first one to actually tell us what it is. I'm so sorry for all of you. I'm happy that you could be there. I'm sure that your girls are a delightful distraction.

Thanks for giving me a heads up on Grandma. I had no idea anything was wrong, I didn't even know she was in an accident a few weeks ago (my dad's not so good at the communication part). I will call Grandma this week--I have a cold, so my voice isn't so good right now and neither is Gma's hearing, so I will wait until I can talk a little better. I am glad you guys are enjoying your trip down there and that you are able to help out--I wish I could go down and help too but that is almost impossible right now. :(

P.s. My mouth is watering just thinking about G&G's grapefruit--it is oh so good!

Looks like you're having fun! That is so cool to have fruit right off the tree! I really want pizza now that I just saw the picture of Leah eating some!
