We're loving the sun.... and the snow!

We are in Arizona right now with my grandparents who come to Mesa to get away from the Idaho snow. We love the sun but I have to admit that it is strange to be watching the winter olympics when it is 75 degrees outside. If you know me you'll know that I love the  Olympics and wouldn't miss them for anything, even when I'm on vacation.
My favorite things so far? Apollo Ohno, Shaun White, Lindsey Vonn, Evan Lycacek and of course Johnny Queer, I mean Weir hahah! JK.
Well the girls and I took a little walk the other morning since the weather is so nice and were able to make it pretty far considering Leah was walking and Lily rode in the stroller. But soon we had to turn back since Leah kept saying, "Hold You" which obviously means I hold her. Anyway, we had to turn back since it's difficult to hold a girl and stroll a girl.
We went swimming, of course and Leah hasn't gone since last June and it was kind of cold then in our condo pool so this time the water was perfect and the weather was very warm so it was a wonderful day in the pool. As you can tell by Leah's glowing face!
I'm pretty sure we have a fish in the family. Leah LOVES the water, I couldn't get her out of it today and she loves going under the water, jumping off by herself, even diving in head first and doing flips in the middle of the pool. Yes, like I said, she LOVES the water. I'm so relieved!
Lily couldn't go in since she's not potty trained, I don't think she was too bummed though since she could work on her tan. We're kind of minority because of our blinding white skin.
THe whole time we have been here my grandma has been in the hospital which is a bummer! We were hoping to spend more time with her but it has also been nice being able to take care of my grandpa for her and to be able to bring the kids to her so that she can see them in the hospital. THe doctor says she may be able to come home tomorrow! Which is great news. I was hoping things would have been cleared by now but I guess we'll wait and see how the test results are. She's doing okay, it's just that she is a little jaundiced and has a mass by her pancreas. Other than that she's her usual chipper self and is charming all of the nurses with her little 4'9" self and positive attitude. We well let you know what other adventures we have while down here in AZ but look out Castle Dale because we come there next, probably on Wed or Thurs.

your pictures of the girls are wonderful. i forgot what sunshine and warm weather look like, not to mention feel like. seeing you all swimming while we're in the throes of another snowstorm kind of makes me feel warmer. we are watching the olympics too and loved the skating last night. i'm so happy to hear you are coming up through castle dale. i am now looking forward to something besides snow, cold and attending another ward conference.

the idea of a member of the family in a swimming pool is delightful. I loved the little girl pictures, especially Leah's face as she is enjoying the water. And of course, there is one of Andrew throwing Leah way up into the air. I'll bet she loves it every time he does it. I hope that you have a great time on your adventure.

It was a good surprise to see the pictures. It looks like beautiful weather. Hope you can help with things down there. I know it is great for grandma to see the girls. Your scouts are missing you.

Sorry about your grandma, I will think about her getting better. Lots of fun, we will be excited to see you when you come back through. Those dresses look so cute. I am glad that they fit this year. I can't believe that Lily is wearing that outfit of Esme's. I forget how close they are in age. Don't forget to pick up the clothing bag when you come back through.
