Thanksgiving Weekend

We were invited down to Andrew's Uncle Grant and Aunt Heidi's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Andrew's parents and some of his siblings were there as well as Grandma Hawkes. We had a great time and enjoyed playing lots of games and good food. Unfortunately I forgot to charge my battery before going so it died before I even got a good shot of the crowd.
It was alright because they invited us to go with them that Saturday to go hunting for a Christmas tree. We set up all of our Christmas stuff on Friday so we were going to get a tree for Andrew's parents. We made a day of it and ate lunch and played in the snow up at Bear Gulch and then found our trees.
Lily loved sliding down the snow hills, she could have done it all day.

We walked along the railroad trail to where we were going to have our hot dog lunch. Do you like how I caught Leah mid fall in the picture above. Kind of funny.

A Schauerhamer, an Ishoy and the rest Hawkes.

Lily zonked out halfway through lunch she was worn out from all of the playing, it wore me out too! After finding our trees we went back to Andrew's parents house and put theirs up and decorated it. It was a quiet evening because Emily is the only one at home now, weird! We had a great time with them though and hope they enjoy their beautiful real Christmas tree. :)

On Sunday I dressed the girls in their Christmas dresses. Apparently my mom got many compliments on how cute her granddaughters were, I told her they don't ever tell me I think it's because they don't want me to get a big head. Too late, I already think my girl's are the cutest around! :)

We had a great weekend and were thankful to be with family, we're also thankful to the Hawkes family for inviting us to their home.
We have a lot to be thankful for this year:
1. Two beautiful healthy girls
2. a house to live in even though we are busting at the seams
3. six years of wonderful marriage
4. our testimonies that have grown a lot this year
5. the scriptures
6. our church callings
7. Parents that live close by
8. Andrew's job on the farm
9. Zack being home
10. Barry going on a mission
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Those little dresses and coats are awfully cute along with the little girls wearing them. I was thinking about the little kilts that your mom bought them in Scotland. Have they worn those yet. I would love to see pictures of that. Hope all is going well.

I didn't get any Thanksgiving pictures either! But I didn't have the excuse of my battery dying though - I was just lazy :). I love the cute dresses on your girls and I love the advent calendar on your last post!
