After Cape Cod we drove down to New Port Rhode Island to see the mansions there, unfortunately we arrived too late and were unable to go into the mansions, but we did see the outsides which were very impressive.
On our last day in Boston we went to church and I met a lady whose son was on a mission in Idaho. She had a lot of questions for me and I tried to explain what the scenery looked like there, she was very excited to hear anything and everything I had to say. After church we went on a drive to the Mount Auburn Cemetery in Boston, on our way we drove by the LDS Temple, it looked pretty at least the spire did!
In the middle of the cemetery there was a large mid-evil winding tower that looked a lot like the Rook in Grandpa Jorgensen's computer chess game. The view from the top was beautiful, you could see all of the Boston area, mind you most of it was covered in trees but I could see as far as the ocean and most of downtown Boston.
After the cemetery we decided we ought to go to the Harvard campus to soak in some genius-ness. We hoped that Russell gained a lot of luck from rubbing his John Harvard's shoe.
That was the end of our great trip to beautiful Massachusetts! We had such a great time with Leslie and Jason, we are grateful to have been able to go while they still lived there. Thanks guys for being great hosts!
