Our Little Outing

We got the girls ready and only planned on going to Wheeler farm to see the animals and ended up going to Hogle Zoo instead. It was a very spontaneous little outing but we had a blast. The girls won't remember it but that's okay we'll go back again.
Leah liked the monkeys but she was thrilled to just be outside and running around. We couldn't keep her in her stroller for very long. She threw a fit each time we had to put her back in.

I think she was a little "skeered" of this large primate. I have to admit Hogel Zoo has some very cool great apes. We got to see the gorilla and the orangutan up close and it was quite amazing how weird they really do look!

Sorry this picture is sideways. I don't know why, I thought I flipped it. Lily pretty much slept the entire time I guess that's okay I didn't expect her to get all excited over the elephants or anything.

At the entrance they have the big ball with water feature and on our way out we decided to let Leah loose and let her get her hands wet if you will.
Each time she bent over to dip her hands in the water her forehead would rub up against the rotating ball and so they stuck up. It was cute.

Then after this we decided to go to the discovery land portion of the zoo and let Leah just wander and play. Knowing how much of a climber she was we knew she would love it, and she really did!
Oh yeah Lily got to get out and...... yeah she continued to snooze.

And snooze!

What a fun outing at the zoo I love my little family, I look forward to more outings just like this in the future.

Oh! I wish we would have known about Hogle Zoo! We never ended up going the other weekend. Oh well, we'll have to find another excuse to see you guys. --think of an idea with me. :)

Ok, as i was looking at your pictures--I've come to the conclusion that Leah looks more like Andrew and Lily looks more like you. At least that's my opinion--for right now. :)

What a fun day at the zoo. The only thing that would have been more fun is if I had been able to go too. It looks as if Leah thoroughly enjoyed discovery land or whatever it was. She is such a discoverer don't you think?

What cute girls you have! I should probably call to tell you this, but I just remembered that a check from the University (USU) came for you in your mailbox. I wasn't sure if you wanted it before you came back, so I thought I should let you know. Sorry if that is confidential and you didn't want it on your blog... :)
