We woke up bright and early to get to the park as soon as we could. I got the girl's princess dresses ready, Grandma Baum made them special for this trip and for Halloween. They looked so cute and were anxious to get to Disneyland. So we boarded the bus outside our hotel and were pleased to find that we had a very enthusiastic bus driver! He made us laugh and made us cheer the whole short trip to the park.
Once there we knew we had to get to the Castle so that the girls could get pictures in front with their princess dresses.
On our way down mainstreet we saw a few familiar faces, Mary Poppins and Bert, and Pluto!
We finally made it to Sleeping Beauty's castle. The girls were very excited!
The first ride we went on was King Arthur's carousel, something somewhat familiar.
After a crazy wild ride with Mr. Toad and a 40 minute wait in the Storybook Land queue, Lily zonked out. A little too much excitement.
Snow White's wicked Queen.
Jafar, from Aladdin
Lily decided to wake up half way through Small World, what she and Leah saw they loved. I loved it too.
Then we decided it would be best to hurry and see the princesses. The girls were getting a little ornery because the line was taking too long and it was time for lunch so we switched off with Zack and Andrew so that the girls could eat and so could we. But.... the wait was worth it to see
Tiana, Princess and the Frog
Belle
Jasmine, all princesses had their warm shawls on so we didn't get to see their full ensemble, oh well.
After the princess drama we decided it was time to give the girls a rest so we hit up Space Mountain, now I see why I was terrified of this ride when I was six or seven! Still pretty scary! I loved it though and got to ride it twice.
We went on many other rides, can't remember them all but Leah sure was excited on the Jungle Cruise.
Of all the rides that day, I think this one was her favorite, can you guess which one from the picture above?
If you guessed Winnie the Pooh you are correct! After getting off the ride there he was in the flesh and Leah couldn't have been more excited and a little shy but she couldn't resist saying hello to this cuddly guy.
Then it was off to a Tea Cups.
Sara admitted that this one made her ill, maybe it was because Zack insisted on spinning us like crazy. Andrew, from the sidelines, did say we were the fastest spinning tea cup out there, not surprised!
