Southern California

We made the trip from lil' ol' Ashton, ID on Saturday, made a stop in Cedar City to see Tennyson and Miranda, then came the next day to San Diego to stay with my Grandpa's cousin, Anne Rytting.

She was very excited to see us and had made sure that the girls felt at home with all the baby toys, books, sleeping bags they could imagine. Fun stuff!

Had it been warmer we would have taken a dip in her pool but we didn't because it was a little chilly. Maybe we'll have to visit again just for her fun backyard.

First day of vacation was spent at Sea World.

The Blue Horizons was my favorite show at Sea World, a little Cirque De Soleil ish.

Somehow we were not splashed in the splash zone, but the section next to us got drenched several times.

We had planned on going to the beach the next day but Anne informed us that she was a member at the San Diego Zoo and could get us in for free. So we took advantage.

Lily thought the flamingos were stinky.

We saw a cheetah on a leash, don't see that everyday. It had a buddy, the white dog alongside it.

 A look into Zack's future.

That evening we drove up to Dove Canyon and spent the night with Jack and Camille Waller. We will go back there on Sunday for church and a little birthday party for Leah. While we were there they suggested that we go to the beach, pier and Ruby's Diner. So we picked up Aunt Sara from the airport on Wednesday and did just that.

Ha hahahaha, okay poor girl! She was in a hole Andrew was digging and the wave came up and completely blasted her!

Then we decided to take the ferry back across to Balboa Island, kind of fun. Balboa island is one of my new favorite places, even though we just drove through the little town and didn't stop. It has some of the cutest little beach houses.

Even though we have been to Disneyland one of our three days I'll save those pictures for another post because there are a ton more! We are enjoying thoroughly enjoying ourselves!

Wow, you have definitely packed your days with fun! That's great that you got to go to the zoo with Anne. And how great was it to be at her house? She is so nice. Everything looks so beautiful and warm. I hope you're all having fun and getting enough rest. I can't wait to see more pictures.
